The Use of 2D Materials in Water Treatment Applications

Participating journal: Discover Water

This Topical Collection will feature papers addressing recent advancements in water treatment using 2D materials. There is a growing global trend towards utilizing these materials in environmental applications, particularly in water treatment processes, which has spurred interest in their development and use. The advancements may be illustrated by the preparation and application of these materials, showcasing novel properties and exceptional performance in water treatment applications. For example, the enhancement of membranes, adsorbents, catalysts, and other systems can be achieved through the incorporation of 2D materials. Researchers working on the application of 2D materials, such as GO, COFs, MXenes, MoS2, Boron Nitride-based compounds, and 2D MOFs in water treatment, are encouraged to submit their work to this section.

Keywords: 2D materials; water treatment; membranes; adsorption; catalyst; environmental applications.

This Collection supports and amplifies research related to SDG 3, SDG 6, SDG 9, SDG 11, SDG 13, SDG 14, and SDG 15.
