8th International Meeting on the Valorization and Preservation of Palaeontological Heritage (RIV3P8)

The 8th International Meeting on the Valorization and Preservation of Palaeontological Heritage (RIV3P8) was held at the Faculty of Sciences, Chouaib Doukkali University, El Jadida, Morocco, from November 23 to 25, 2023. This scientific event was successfully organized by the Laboratory of Geosciences and Environmental Techniques in collaboration with the National Institute of Archaeology and Heritage Sciences of Rabat. The meeting featured approximately forty oral presentations, twenty posters and three plenary lectures, all of which addressed various research topics related to geoheritage. This collection consists of articles derived from the presentations, which revolved around three themes: 1. Geology and Paleontology, 2. Archeology and Prehistory, and 3. Preservation and enhancement of geoheritage within the perspective of sustainable development for local communities, including projects aimed at creating museums, reserves and geoparks.
