Special Issue: Product-Form Probability Distributions

Participating journal: Queueing Systems

This special issue will collect state-of-the-art contributions on "product-form" queueing systems, to be understood in a broad sense as a queueing systems described by a Markov chain whose stationary measures can be written as a product, with each factor being a function of the state and model parameter.

We encourage you to submit your original research related to product-form queueing systems to this special issue. Examples of topics of interest are:

Recent or new applications of product-form queueing systems (e.g., see the recent Special Issue: Product Forms, Stochastic Matching, and Redundancy.

Methodological contributions to the analysis or the design of these systems. Connections between product-form queueing systems and other research fields (e.g., models from statistical physics).

This special issue accompanies the "Product-Form Probability Distributions" workshop held in May 2025 at Eurandom (Eindhoven, the Netherlands), but submissions to the Special Issue are open to all.

We aim for quick reviews after submission, and accepted papers will be immediately posted online.

Participating journal

When this collection opens for submissions, you will be able to submit your manuscript through the participating journal.

Queueing Systems: Theory and Applications (QUESTA) focuses on queueing theory and its applications in resource sharing dynamics.
