Topical Collection: Navigating a Changing Climate: Economic Transition and Structural Change in Emerging Economies

Ensuring climate policies address the social and distributional implications of greening the economy, protecting vulnerable populations, and promoting inclusive growth. This topical collection will explore the diverse economic and policy implications of climate change in emerging economies, focusing on:

- Economic restructuring: Analysing the opportunities and challenges of transitioning towards a low-carbon economy, including green investment, technological innovation, and job creation.

- Equity and inclusivity: Ensuring climate policies are just and equitable, considering the vulnerability of different social groups and regions within emerging economies.

- Impact assessment: Quantifying the economic costs and benefits of climate change, including impacts on sectors like agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and tourism.

- North-South collaboration: Investigating the role of international cooperation and knowledge sharing in supporting low-carbon transitions in emerging economies.

- Policy responses: Evaluating the effectiveness of existing climate mitigation and adaptation policies in emerging economies and proposing innovative approaches.

Submissions to these topics are welcome.

Manuscripts must be prepared to the journal Submission Guidelines. Submissions to this topical collection undergo the same editorial procedure (double blind peer-reviewing) like regular submissions.
