Nomograms in Oncology

Please note this collection does not have a specific Guest Editor appointed and manuscripts are handled on a case by case basis by members of the editorial board. The peer review process for these articles is the same as the peer review process of the journal in general.

In recent years, a great number of papers on nomograms in malignant diseases have been published in scientific journals and the internet. Nomograms are supposed to being used for prognoses and precision therapy in oncology. However, there are quite a number of nomograms for identical diseases (e.g. prostate cancer), making it difficult to decide which nomogram fits to the circumstances to be evaluated. Moreover, patients get access to nomograms and confront their physicians with the results. Therefore, we decided to start a collection on “Nomograms in Oncology” attempting to sort for the most comprehensive nomograms in malignant disease. The submissions will be peer-reviewed by special experts in the field. We look forward to receiving well designed and clinically evaluated evaluated nomograms.
