Marine biodiversity loss

Participating journal: BMC Zoology
Marine biodiversity is in significant decline, threatening ecosystem health and the livelihood of approximately 3 billion people, who rely on the ocean for food, energy and water. Human activities are the main drivers of ecosystem disruptions and the detrimental loss of marine biodiversity worldwide. In support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14 Life below water, BMC Zoology welcomes research on human-induced challenges impacting marine animals.
