This special issue of the Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry is dedicated to Professor Dimitra Sazou on the occasion of her retirement, honoring her contributions to electrochemical science and technology. She is as a professor of physical chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She earned her PhD in chemistry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She was a visiting researcher/professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Houston and the Department of Physical Sciences, University of Cyprus. Prof. Sazou’s research interests include the experimental and mechanistic investigation of the corrosion/passivation of metals and multicomponent alloys, focusing on elucidating the physicochemical and electrochemical processes underpinning uniform and localized corrosion via the analysis of the non-linear behavior of metal electrodissolution/passivation reactions. Prof. Sazou has more than 30 years of experience in the field and has authored more than 90 refereed publications.
The scientific aim of this thematic issue of the Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry is to create a collection of research works that will link the knowledge of the previous generations to the latest advances in a topic of continuously increasing fundamental and applied interest.
Final decisions will be made by Dr. Papaderakis. For more information on our peer review process, please refer to our submission guidelines.
